About Me
I work with women who have gotten very good at adapting—to other people, to expectations, to what needs to get done—and have lost some connection with their own needs, feelings, desires, or sense of what is true for them.
You may be capable, insightful, and deeply attuned to the people around you. You may also find yourself overthinking, second-guessing, keeping the peace, or knowing what everyone else needs before you know what you want.
My work is about helping you become more fully rooted in yourself.
Not less caring. Not less capable. More able to hear yourself, trust yourself, and choose from what matters to you..
Hi, I’m Erin.
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience, and I work especially well with women who are thoughtful, insightful, and often already understand a lot about themselves.
You may know why you overthink, why it’s hard to set boundaries, or where some of your patterns began. You may have done therapy before. And still, knowing why you do something doesn’t always make it easier to do something different.
That’s where I tend to work best.
My approach brings together traditional psychotherapy, EMDR, and somatic therapy to help us work not only with what you understand intellectually, but also with the emotional, relational, and nervous-system patterns that can pull you back into familiar ways of responding.
My style is warm, engaged, collaborative, and gently challenging. I’m not a therapist who will simply sit back and analyze you. I’ll be there with you—helping you notice patterns, make connections, slow things down, and become more curious about what is actually true for you.
This isn’t about becoming a better version of yourself. It’s about having more freedom to be yourself.
The Heart Behind My Work
I know something about what it means to build a life around being capable.
To keep showing up—for work, for family, for the people who count on you—while gradually becoming less certain of what you need or want.
For a long time, I thought the answer was to do more: understand more, learn more, work harder at feeling better. My own path has taught me something different. Sometimes the work isn’t about adding another strategy. It’s about slowing down enough to notice what has been underneath all the doing.
To listen differently—to your body, your emotions, your limits, your wants, and the quieter parts of yourself that may have gotten very good at waiting.
That experience shapes how I sit with my clients. I don’t believe the parts of you that overthink, accommodate, achieve, control, or keep going are problems to eliminate. They developed for reasons. We can understand those reasons with compassion while also asking whether those old ways of protecting and navigating still fit the life you want now.
The work isn’t about finding your way back to who you used to be. It’s about becoming more fully who you are.
